We offer a wide range of activities including
Juggling (Solo and Duo), Diabolo, Chinese ribbon twirling, poi spinning, diabolo, plate spinning, pedal go, balancing objects and so on. Giant bubble workshops also available on demand. Activities are designed to be challenging but achievable and the sheer quantity of different skills means there will be something that all participants warm to.
A short, age appropriate, juggling show can also be added at any time of day. This can be added at assembly time, lunchtime or to finish the day off. A performance adds context to the skills learned and also shows the learners exciting tricks mixed with hilarious comedy.
We can fit our performances into many themes including history of circus, the physics/ science of juggling, bubbleology/ science, clowning, teambuilding, Spanish, French, ESOL, EFL and also areas of SEND teaching such as choice making, learner empowerment and AAC Communication- including Makaton, basic BSL and SaLT.
Workshop days, half days and even activity weeks are perfect as a transition activity, end of term treat, cultural enrichment engagement, reward or alternative vehicle to learning.
We have a range of activities that are fully adapted to make them well suited to all ages and abilities – We work with nursery up to university and also work with special needs schools of all ages. We have even run workshops for blind learners, with huge success. Our teaching experience as well as experience as children´s entertainers allows us to relate and direct activities to all learners.
We recommend a workshop mixed with an introductory demonstration show to get them highly involved from the very start. Younger children may have less coordination in terms of throwing and catching but are excellent at balancing. They also love giving everything a go so we aim to provide activities they will enjoy and achieve whilst having lots of fun.We have also adapted traditional juggling to make it more accessible to infant age children.
Tightwire can also be added as an optional activity- it usually requires an extra tutor and also incurs hire fee.
Workshops can be be delivered from short tasters to half days or a full circus skills day. It fits perfectly into reward days, activities week, the school fete or fun day, arts week or freshers week. We have adapted many activities so as to be achievable and enjoyable for all age groups. 15 years of experience mean that we are experts at picking the right activities to suit the age of the group and the length of the workshop. The circus workshop can be enjoyed indoors or outdoors- we are very adaptable to space.
