We aim to encourage all to achieve while having lots of fun and concentrate on both group and individual activities. Shaun, our coordinator is an experienced SEND/ PMLD qualified teacher. The emphasis will always be on inclusion and achievement.
We have worked with specialist groups and schools for visually impaired learners, children, teenagers and adults with autism, ASD, PMLD, respite, hospice and other very specialist provisions. Activities are adapted and tailored to suit ability and needs of the individual and it is vital to us that all are included and enjoy the experience.
We have an excellent understanding of SaLT, Occupational Therapy, physiotherapy and current themes such as PBS approaches, trauma informed schools and are delighted to work with your specialist practitioners. We also have performer/ circus skills workshop tutors who use Makaton, basic BSL and also have experience in AAC high tech and low tech devices.
A full range of activities is available, some of which are adapted with specific need and OT/ physio experience in mind. We have found particular success mixed with performance extras such as gigantic bubbles (visual and sensory) balancing with other people (communication, vestibular movement and sensory) balloon modelling (sensory) passing balls (communication, OT ) glow juggling (visual and sensory) and also musical additions.
We have worked with many relevant groups including Contact a Family- on many occasions, Henshaw´s in Harrogate, Cherry Trees in Surrey, Cambian, Chatty Box in Harlow, Great Ormond Street Hospital GOSH, and The Witherslack Group, SONUS and can provide details to contact organisations for testimonials/ references.
We are also delighted to provide a Social & Sensory Story on circus to accompany our visit to help prepare the learners.
Learning can and should be fun!
